Who's Zooming Who?

As the months turn to seasons in shelter-in-place (SIP), getting out there to date again has likely crossed your mind.

The two trends I’m seeing from singles and fellow matchmakers across the US...

#1 - The Good News - Dating is alive and well.  What??  Yes!  Singles are dating.  It never stopped for some, and others just took a little longer to get started.

Singles really want to meet other singles. Having hosted multiple events for Harvard Business School singles in the SF Bay Area with over a hundred singles from various Ivy League Schools, I can tell you that quality singles are ready to meet other quality singles. Others are seeking connection in this weird time of isolating SIP and endless weeks of working from home.

#2 - The first date is on video.  Almost all first dates are via Zoom, Google Hangout, and FaceTime. Some singles are mastering it and some are not prepared for this new frontier. Which are you?

What does this all mean?

  • Video is the new medium for dating. Virtual dating isn’t going away anytime soon — and it may be here for the long-run. It is efficient and smart. Get on board if you want to meet someone.

  • You want to master making a good first impression on video. Of course you know the first date conversations skills are more important than even. Now your lighting, your camera angle, your background - and even what you wear (!) makes all the difference in making a great connection.

  • You can do this! I’ve got you covered. I’m creating a mini course to help you with this all.
